Publicity for games of chance is regularly discussed. In order to be able to offer an informed opinion on this subject, the Gaming Commission (GC), whose mission is to ensure player protection and to guarantee that games of chance are strictly channelled into the legal sector, invited various stakeholders who are active in the aid, prevention, debt prevention or research sectors.
A meeting was held on 7 September 2021 in the context of Article 24/1 §1 of the Act of 7 May 1999. The various speakers gave their views on the progress made by the Royal Decree of 25 October 2018, the remaining gaps and future challenges. Each participant was given the opportunity to put forward his or her main concerns and suggestions. The presentations were followed by a moment of exchange.
The presentations can be found here, with thanks to the speakers for their kind permission.
