Do you want to apply for an access ban to stop gambling?
If you feel you need protection from the potential dangers of gambling addiction, you can request an access ban from the Gaming Commission (GC). You will then automatically be denied access to casinos (real and online), slot machine arcades (real and online) or betting shops (real and online).
However, as with any computer system, it is possible that a malfunction may disturb the proper functioning of the system. The GC cannot be held responsible for this and for your own safety it is recommended that you do not attempt to play after you have requested to be excluded.
How do you apply for an access ban for yourself?*
If you have a Belgian identity card or residence permit (and therefore a Belgian national register number), use this electronic form (French) or electronic form (Dutch), a card reader and your Belgian identity card or the itsme® application.
If you are a foreign Belgian resident or do not have a Belgian identity card or residence permit, use this electronic form (French) or electronic form (Dutch).
These forms are currently only available in Dutch and French.
* If your name, first name, date of birth or national register number changes during the period of exclusion, you must notify us. The GC cannot be held liable if the change of any of these details is not reported and, as a result, you risk not being optimally protected.
Confidant
You can, if you wish, also add to your application the e-mail address of a confidant who can support you during the exclusion process. A confidant can be someone close to you who you would like to involve in this application, e.g. your partner, a family member, a friend or a colleague.
This person will receive an e-mail when your access ban enters and ends and can thus offer you some extra support should this be needed. This way, you are not alone.
If you are unable to use this electronic form, you can use the classic request form
